Framycetin

Framycetin is a commonly used antibiotic to treat and prevent bacterial infections on the skin, in the ear, or the eye. It inhibits a bacterial protein responsible for bacterial growth. It eliminates the bacteria that cause infection, helps reduce associated symptoms such as redness, swelling, and pain, and supports wound healing. This medication treats conditions such as infected wounds, burns, skin ulcers, otitis externa (outer ear infection), and certain eye infections. By targeting the bacterial source of the infection, Framycetin helps control the spread of bacteria and relieve discomfort.

How Framycetin Works

Usually applied/instilled 2–3 times daily, on the affected area or as directed by your Physician. For drops, instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected ear or eye, following proper hygiene precautions.
